Getting started

Sword of Discord lives in the server's Discord. Everything happens in private messages only you can see, so play at your own pace.

Make your character

Type /play anywhere in the server, or press Play on the pinned panel. The first time, you make your character: build, skin, hair and an outfit in the colours you like. You can change your look any time from Settings.

Your hub

After that, /play opens your hub: your character in the zone you've reached, your skills, and what you have going on. Its buttons take you everywhere: Trip, Craft, Bank, Boss, Challenges, Gear, Shop and Settings.

You start with 25 gold and worn pickaxe, worn hatchet, worn sickle and old fishing rod, enough to start gathering straight away.

Your first three steps

The hub shows a short guide until you've done these:

Go on a trip. Press Trip, pick Mining and how long, and set off. Trips keep going while you're away; come back and collect.
Arm yourself. Buy the Splintered club in the Shop (20 gold), then wear it from Gear.
Take a Slayer task. Press Trip and pick Slayer, choose a monster and set off. Cook your catch first (under Craft): food keeps you going.
